The official name for the Magic Truffle is "Sclerotium" (plural: "Sclerotia"). On the spot where mushrooms grow there is a large network of mycelium in the ground. This mycelium is a fungus with a white, stringy structure. Under the right circumstances this mycelium will take care of the growth of mushrooms.
In essence, the mushroom is the fruit of the mycelium. Some species of mushrooms produce Magic Truffles in this mycelium. These Magic Truffles are a compact mass of hardened mycelium in which the species stores food and water to make use of when growing conditions are not optimal.
On this globe, around 200 different species of mushrooms have been identified that contain psilocybin and psilocin. Some of these mushrooms are also capable of producing Magic Truffles. The best known mushroom species that produce Magic Truffles are: Psilocybe tampanensis, Psilocybe mexicana and Psilocybe atlantis.
Magic Truffles give the user an unforgettable spiritual experience. The active substance in Magic Truffles is psilocybin, the same as in magic mushrooms. Magic Truffles are as old as the world and are sold under very different names. Magic Truffles are also called Philosophers Stone or Magic Fungi.
